Rozettás minta / Rosette pattern
Az 1850-es évektől készültek azok a díszlepedők, melyeknek motívumai, a mintaszerkesztése és hímzéstechnikája kizárólag Mezőkövesdhez köthető.
A 6 szirmú rozetták, leveles ágak, kacskaringók változatos öltésekkel, piros és kevés sötétkék pamutfonallal lettek hímezve. Egyik kedvenc öltésem a „törtöltés”, ami nagyon szép, tömött és domború felületet eredményez a nagy méretű motívumok, ez esetben a kerek rózsák, „rozetták” esetében is. Legújabb kollekcióm párnáit egy szép múzeumi darab inspirálta.
The 1850s saw the production of decorative sheets with motifs and embroidery techniques that can be traced back exclusively to Mezőkövesd. Rosettes with 6 petals, leafy branches and spirals were embroidered with a variety of stitches in red and a few dark blue cotton threads. One of my favourite stitches is the "fractional stitch", which gives a very nice, solid, and convex surface to the large motifs, in this case the round roses, "rosettes". The pillows in my latest collection were inspired by a museum piece.
